Taking the Next Steps

At Carla Vista Sober Living Homes Missouri, our residents live amongst other individuals navigating through the recovery process. The power of having sober roommates is tremendous and is one of the reasons that many individuals relapse after leaving inpatient and outpatient treatment facilities. Struggling to find sober roommates often causes those in recovery to fall back into addiction. We encourage our residents to surround themselves with a healthy social circle, beginning during their stay at Carla Vista. Our sober living homes are completely drug and alcohol free, creating a healthy environment without any temptations.

Staying in a safe, secure and comfortable place while in recovery is key, in order to keep your mind and body in the right place. For this reason, we have designed a space with everything our residents will need, including clean beds, fresh linens, bathrooms and showers, a full kitchen, laundry room, and community spaces to relax. The minute you step into Carla Vista Sober Living Homes, you will feel like it is your own.

Our Requirements

In order to keep our residents accountable for their sobriety, we require residents to pass a background screening and random breathalyzer and drug tests. We firmly believe that guidance and support toward a healthy lifestyle is the best way to keep residents on track to becoming their best selves. That’s why all of our residents attend mandatory 12-Step meetings and group programming. Expressing the struggles that those in recovery may be dealing with and the emotions that come along with recovery are important. Our group programming often takes place within the home, creating a bond between residents and the Carla Vista staff that cannot be broken. Our network of Carla Vista alumni is strong, so no matter where you find yourself there will always be a shoulder to lean on.

Carla Vista wants our residents to be as independent as possible as they enter this new phase in their lives. Many have been dependent on drugs, alcohol and other negative relationships that they are unsure how to enter back into society. We encourage residents to either hold a part-time job, continue their education or volunteer their time in the community. We have partnered with many local charities, non-profits and other businesses in Florissant to give residents the best shot at integrating into a new position. Carla Vista Sober Living Homes give you the tools to become the version of yourself that you have always envisioned, helping get you back on your feet as soon as possible.
